Process Of Acrylic Roof Coatings
If you are interested in the Conklin Membrane Roof Coating System, you may be interested in the process that we go through from start to finish. The process that we follow for the coating is simple, quick, and mostly disruption-free.
The steps of the process for this membrane coating system include:
- Rinse Thoroughly
- Clean Surface with Conklin’s WAC II Cleaner
- Apply Conklin’s Tack Coat Primer
- Apply a 6” Wide Strip of Conklin’s Base Coat
- Embed 4” Spunflex Fabric with A Brush or Roller
- Immediately Apply a Second Layer of Base Coat to Encapsulate Spunflex
- Perform The Same Process to All of The Details and Penetrations
- Apply Rapid Roof III or Equinox Top Coat to The Entire Surface
Rather than having an entire roof torn off and replaced, we add a layer over the top to help provide any necessary repairs and a new seal. This new acrylic roof coating will lead to many benefits.
Energy Savings
One major reason you should invest in acrylic roof coatings is the energy savings that they can provide. Since this coating can help reflect a high percentage of the sun's UV rays, it will help prevent hot air from entering during the summer and could help keep heat from escaping during the winter. This can in return help save on money.
Benefits Over Roof Replacement
On top of energy savings, there are also many other benefits of using acrylic roof coatings. The process is cost-effective as it is less expensive than other similar processes that are available while still providing the same amount of durability and effectiveness. It lasts a long time and is very easy to install. Instead of disrupting the flow of the workplace by replacing the entire roof of the building, this coating will be much less disruptive and can be applied much more quickly at a lower cost.
